Family pay tribute to man who died in crash near Wareham

A 44 year old man who died in a fatal road traffic collision near Wareham in Dorset has been described as a “wonderful son, brother and father” by his family.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.41 pm on Thursday 21st August 2025 of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a blue SEAT Leon on the A352 at East Stoke.

“Everyone knew him for his passion for cars”

Sadly, the man named as Stuart Howes from Weymouth was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, his family said:

“Stuart Howes was a wonderful son, brother and father who cared about family very much.

“Stuart was a talented paint sprayer who built a business in the local Wareham area. Everyone knew him for his passion for cars and the commitment he showed towards his business.

“Stuart will be missed by his friends and family.”
