Dorset Police are looking for the driver of a black Peugeot, after a car failed to stop in Wool in Purbeck, following a collision with a pedestrian – a 10 year old girl.
The incident happened at approximately 1.20 pm on Thursday 23rd June 2022 on the A352 Dorchester Road, near to the junction with Colliers Lane in Wool.
Fail-to-stop collision
Officers investigating the fail-to-stop collision are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police say the 10 year-old girl sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car – a black Peugeot saloon – failed to stop at the scene and headed towards Winfrith Newburgh along the A352.

Police constable Duncan Roberts of the traffic unit, said:
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please get in touch.
“I would also urge motorists who were travelling in the area to check their dashcams for any relevant footage to assist my enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to appeal to the driver of the vehicle involved to please come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
