The rider of an e-bike – a man in his 70s – is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision late at night with a woman in her 20s on an e-scooter near Wareham in Dorset.
The incident happened on the Sandford Road around 11 pm on Friday 18th July 2025 and now Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to help with the investigation.

Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place between the Sibley Pottery Roundabout and Wareham Roundabout.
Dorset Police say the man, aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital with injuries described as life-changing, while the rider of the e-scooter received minor injuries.
Sergeant David Cotterill of Dorset Police roads policing team, said:
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened, or the moments leading up to the collision, to please come forward.
“Also, I would be keen to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I’d like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while road closures were put in place.”
