Local men arrested after serious assault outside Swanage bar

Four arrests have been made following a disturbance outside a bar in Swanage which has left one man in hospital with a serious head injury.

Dorset Police say they received a report at 12.36 am on Sunday 12th June 2022 relating to the incident outside East Bar in the High Street.

“Sustained a serious head injury”

A Dorset Police spokesperson said:

“It was reported that three men had been assaulted. One of the men sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Another victim sustained a facial injury and the third man sustained bruising to his side.

“An investigation was launched by detectives from Dorset County CID and, following enquiries, four local men – aged 28, 30, 43 and 48 – have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.”

Dorset Police added that their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
