Shops selling essential goods are allowed to remain open and a good number of cafes and restaurants are able to offer takeaways. You’ll need to check their websites and social media for exact opening times, as some are open but only at certain times and days.

The lockdown in England is expected to last until the Covid vaccine has been rolled out to the most vulnerable, which may not be until March or April 2021.
Children are not expected to be able to go back to school until the end of February 2021 at the earliest, in a bid to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
