Man headbutted during ‘altercation’ in Swanage

Dorset Police have issued an image of a man they would like to identify following an incident when a man was headbutted near Swanage Cricket Club in Day’s Park.

Officers investigating the assault say they would like to know who the man is in the photo, as well as speak to anyone who witnessed the events.

Injuries not believed to be serious

Dorset Police say they received a report at 1.38 pm on Friday 21st February 2025 that a man had been headbutted during an altercation with an unknown man in the area of Swanage Cricket Club.

The man who was headbutted attended hospital for his injuries but they were not believed to be serious.

Sergeant Neil Hawkes, of Dorset Police, said:

“As part of my enquiries, I have obtained an image of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.

“I am also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information that might assist our enquiries, to please contact us.”
