Following an assault in Swanage in Dorset, a man has been arrested by police, while another is in hospital with a serious head injury.
The incident happened on the High Street at 9.45 pm on Monday 30th June 2025 and police are appealing for more witnesses to contact them.

Taken to Bournemouth Hospital for treatment
Due to the extent of the man’s injuries from the assault, he was taken to Bournemouth Hospital for treatment.
Purbeck Police said:
“The location of the incident remained closed overnight and into the morning while the investigation continued but has now been reopened. I would like to thank people for their patience during this time.
“A number of people were in the area at the time and we would be keen to hear from anyone that witnessed the incident.”
