Names of candidates for Swanage Town Council election announced

The official list of candidates who are standing for election in Swanage in Dorset has been announced, following the resignation of Sarah Brookes.

The vacancy is in the Swanage North ward, so only residents living in the north of Swanage will be eligible to vote in the election which will take place on Thursday 6th November 2025.

It’s the second election in 2025 for Swanage Town Hall staff to administer

Election on Thursday 6th November 2025

Sarah Brookes was an independent councillor, who stood down from the town council in September 2025, citing a change in circumstances of her work and care responsibilities.

Polling stations in the north of Swanage will be open from 7 pm to 10 pm on Thursday 6th November 2025 to enable all registered voters in Swanage North ward to vote.
