Names published of Swanage election nominations

The official list of candidates who are standing for election in Swanage in Dorset has been announced, following the death of Bill Trite and the resignation of Debby Monkhouse.

There are two vacancies on Swanage Town Council – one seat in the north of the town and one in the south – as well as one vacancy representing Swanage on Dorset Council.

The polling stations in Swanage will be open between 7 am and 10 pm on Thursday 24th July 2025

Election date Thursday 24th July 2025

Bill Trite was a Swanage town councillor and one of two Swanage representatives on Dorset Council. He stood as a Local Conservative.

Debby Monkhouse was a Swanage town councillor, representing the Labour Party.

The elections will take place on Thursday 24th July 2025. Those registered to vote will receive a polling card, listing the polling station in Swanage where they can cast their vote.
