The Office of National Statistics has published the latest information on the number of Covid-19 related deaths for every city, town and village across England and Wales, including Swanage.
The interactive map updated on Monday 18th January 2021, sadly shows the number of deaths registered in the period March to December 2020, where Covid-19 was the underlying cause on the death certificate.
Swanage
It shows that in Swanage, there have been six deaths from March to December 2020, where the underlying cause was Covid-19. All of the deaths were recorded in November 2020. There were no deaths recorded for December 2020.
Corfe Castle and Langton Matravers
For the area that covers Corfe Castle and Langton Matravers, which includes Studland, Harman’s Cross, Kimmeridge and Arne, there have been four deaths from March to December 2020, where the underlying cause was Covid-19. There were two deaths in April, one in May and one in November 2020. There were no deaths recorded for December 2020.
Wareham, Sandford and Holton Heath
For the area that covers Wareham, Sandford and Holton Heath, there have been seven deaths from March to December 2020, where the underlying cause was Covid-19. There were two deaths in April, one in May, two in October, one in November and one in December 2020.
