Officers investigating reports that a man exposed himself and sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Wareham are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Wareham Bridge near The Quay at around 9 pm on Wednesday 24th August 2022. The area was busy, as the Wareham Wednesdays event was happening at the time.
Drunk and disorderly in a public place
Dorset Police say they arrived at the scene, following the reports, and arrested a 42 year old Poole man on suspicion of indecent exposure and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
It was further reported that the man inappropriately touched a teenage girl, who has not been identified at this time.

Police constable Ryan Higgins of Dorset Police, said:
“We are continuing to investigate this matter and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone else with information that might assist our enquiries, to please come forward.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the area to check their dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
