Police hunt for driver of car ‘hidden’ in Swanage

The driver of a Mercedes car is being sought after they failed to stop for police and tried to hide the vehicle behind some flats in Swanage.

Dorset Police No Excuse team were in Swanage on Friday 21st January 2022, when they spotted a silver Mercedes that was being driven with no insurance.

The car didn’t stop and tried to get away.

“Vehicle was seized

The No Excuse team reported:

“Turns out it had no MOT and no tax either. As we went to stop it, the car evaded us, but we found it hidden behind some flats a few minutes later, locked and unattended.

“Vehicle was seized and enquiries are being made to locate the driver.”
