Rear brakes on fire

The double decker bus had just begun its early morning route, heading out of town along the High Street.

Later that day, Swanage Fire Station reported:

“Early this morning both pumps were mobilised to a large vehicle fire in town.

“On arrival we found a small fire coming from the rear brakes of a bus and it was extinguished and cooled down using one hose reel jet.

“Luckily the damage to the bus was kept to a minimum and no one was injured.”
