Santa is coming to town – find out when he will be in your road!

A global pandemic will not stop Father Christmas from coming to Swanage, Corfe Castle and Langton Matravers to celebrate Christmas this year – and there are several days when residents will be able to spot him.

Helped by Swanage and Purbeck Rotary, Santa’s Sleigh is back once again for 2020. The visits from Father Christmas will run throughout December so that everyone will have a chance to see him.

Money raised from Santa’s Sleigh tour of the neighbourhood will go towards local good causes. In the past, these have included Purbeck Youth and Community Foundation, the summer Art Bags Project for school children and Swanage Food Bank.

When is Santa coming to your street?

COVID-19 restrictions permitting, Father Christmas will make his visits to the area between Thursday 3rd December and Saturday 19th December 2020.

Unlike previous years, Santa’s helpers will not be knocking on doors this time round to keep everyone safe from the virus. Instead, they will be carrying buckets on the end of poles for people to give cash donations.

However, children and families are still more than welcome to come outside and see him as he passes through. Unfortunately this year he will not be able to visit Herston Yards Farm Campsite or hand out sweets.

Donations may also be made online via the Rotary’s fundraising page
