Shore Road turns into beach gardens!

A bitingly cold, north-easterly gale has blown sand from the beach across Shore Road, making it look more like a desert than a highway, as captured in these photos by local resident, Chris Carana. Anyone who has essential reasons to drive through Swanage, is being advised to avoid the area.

While the winds are forecast to drop overnight, the road is likely to remain difficult to navigate tomorrow, except by foot or camel!
