Another good reason to stay at home as a spell of wet weather is forecast by the Met Office across Dorset – along with a risk of flooding.
A Yellow Weather warning for rain is in force for much of the country from first thing (00:00) on Wednesday 20th January 2021 until midday (12:00) on Thursday 21st January 2021, as Storm Christoph rolls in from the Atlantic.
However along the south coast, residents will not be affected by the more severe Amber Warning that has been issued for much of the north, midlands and east of England.
What to expect
While Swanage is not expected to be hit with the most serious of warnings, people should still take care nonetheless.
The Met Office says there is a risk of flooding to some houses and businesses and that travel disruption is likely.
This not only includes delays to bus and train services. There will also likely be spray and some flooding on the roads. There may also be interruption to power supplies.
