The winning photos have been chosen from a record number of entrants for Swanage Carnival’s 2024 photo marathon contest.
Every year competitors are challenged to take their own original photographs in Swanage, Dorset, within a 48 hour time limit to illustrate a number of different themes.
The results are revealed! Left to right: Carnival volunteer Mary Hudson, Neal Diffey announcing the winners, and photo marathon organiser Nadine Hudson-Featherstone
“Imagination and thought”
Registration for the competition was online before the carnival started or in person at the marquee by midday on Saturday 27th July 2024 and entrants had to submit their photos by the deadline of midday Monday 29th July 2024.
Swanage Carnival photo marathon organiser said:
“It’s lovely to see how each person interprets the categories differently. There’s so much imagination and thought that goes into the photos.
“It’s so good when all the entries get submitted and this year we had a record 29 people take part.
“The aim is for everyone to have fun and I hope that was achieved. I’m now looking forward to seeing even more excellent photographs next year!”
