Following a report of attempted sexual communication with a child, a 54 year old man from Swanage has been arrested.
Dorset Police went to a property in Swanage, shortly after receiving a tip off at around 6.30 pm on Sunday 4th August 2024.

The online incident is now under police investigation.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said:.
“At 6.27 pm on Sunday 4th August 2024, Dorset Police received a report of attempted sexual communication with a child involving a man in Swanage.
“Officers attended and a 54-year-old man from Swanage was arrested on suspicion of sexual communication with a child. He has been released on police bail.
“This matter is the subject of an ongoing investigation and therefore we are unable to comment any further on the specifics of this case.”
