A 13 year old girl received an injury to her knee which required medical treatment, as well as bruises to her head, after an assault in Wareham, Dorset.
Purbeck police officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage to get in touch following the assault involving two teenage girls in Wareham.
“Woman intervened during the incident”
It is reported that the incident occurred at around 8.30 pm on Wednesday 12th August 2026 in the area of St John’s Hill.
At the time, the Wareham Wednesday event was taking place nearby at the quay.
Police constable Christopher Windows, of Purbeck police, said:
“I understand that a woman intervened during the incident and I am keen to speak to her to take an account of what she saw.
“I would also ask anyone who witnessed the assault or captured any footage of relevance to please get in touch.”
