Vigilance urged after spate of thefts in Swanage

Swanage residents are being advised by Purbeck Police to check their security, especially that of sheds and outbuildings, after a number of bikes and other items were stolen from local properties.

Purbeck Police say they have received several calls in recent days relating to burglaries to sheds and thefts in Swanage on the morning of Friday 7th May 2021.

Stolen from a shed

Two bicycles were stolen from a shed in De Moulham Rd and two more were taken from a shed in Rabling Road.

The two cycles taken from Rabling Road were mountain bikes – a Scott Aspect and a custom built Pinnacle-framed Arrow.

There was also the attempted theft of a bicycle reported from Anglebury Avenue.
