When will Santa be visiting Swanage and Langton Matravers?

Back on his sleigh for 2024, Santa will be visiting all the streets around Swanage and Langton Matravers in Dorset in the run up to Christmas and he’s appealing for more elves to join in the festive fun.

Ably assisted by Swanage and Purbeck Rotary, Santa will be handing out sweets to all the children as he winds his way around the town and over to Langton Matravers.

Santa on his sleigh is a local Christmas tradition

Christmas carols and Santa selfies

They’ll be Christmas carols and a chance to get some Santa selfies, in what has become a local festive tradition.

The Rotary club is now seeking more volunteer elves to help collect donations along the route, to keep alive what has become a local festive tradition. All the money raised goes to good causes.

Chris Le Fevre of Swanage and Purbeck Rotary said:

“There will be Christmas carols and a chance to get some Santa selfies – it’s great fun. You can help join in, as we are seeking volunteer elves to act as collectors. You must be at least 16 years old.

“The full schedule is below and volunteers are requested to meet at 5.15 pm for a 5.30 pm departure. We finish by 8 pm at the latest. You don’t have to sign up for every day!”
