Wildfowl killed in apparent deliberate act in Purbeck

Purbeck Police are appealing for witnesses after two geese and six ducks were run over by a vehicle at East Creech near Corfe Castle.

A report was received by the police at around 9.50 pm on Wednesday 20th October 2021 that a vehicle was seen travelling in East Creech Farm Road at speed and appeared to deliberately drive at a number of ducks and geese on the roadside.

They are asking for anyone with information about the incident involving cruelty to wildlife to help them with their enquiries.

“A mindless act by the driver

Police Constable Stuart Wilson from Purbeck Police said:

“We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident, which appears to be a mindless act by the driver involved, and I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please come forward.”
