The smoke is “causing some concern in the area”

Swanage Fire Station reported:

“We’ve been dealing with a barn fire at Knitson since about 2.30 pm. We’ll be here for sometime yet.

“The smoke from this fire is now causing some concern in the area and we’re asking residents of Corfe Castle and Harmans Cross to keep windows and doors closed. Please take extra care if you’re travelling in the area this evening.”

At 5.24 pm a crew from Wareham Fire Station was despatched to back up the teams tackling the fire, with a Unimog, its off road vehicle.
