The first category is for the best residential Christmas windows and gardens, while there is a second category for the best shop or business Christmas window decorations.

The intention is to reward those who make the extra effort to make Swanage especially festive, as well as to entice more people to shop locally.

Local businesses have really upped their game”

Anne Rothery from Swanage’s Chamber of Trade said:

“The standard is incredibly high and having visited four towns of a similar size recently, I can honestly say Swanage is the best!

“In particular, I have to say that local businesses have really upped their game on decorations this year.”

Anne added:

“Judging will be in the week before Christmas and winners will receive a small festive prize as well as bragging rights!”
