Celebrity couple share photos of New Year trip to Swanage

While many famous people visit Swanage and keep it quiet, one well-known couple let everyone know what a good time they were having by posting on social media.

Strictly Come Dancing TV presenter Tess Daly and husband Vernon Kay, best known as a TV game show presenter, revealed on the social media platform, Instagram that they visited Swanage and Studland for a family holiday at the start of the year..

Posting photos of Swanage Pier and Middle Beach in Studland on Tuesday 4th January 2022, Vernon Kay described the scenery as ‘stunning’.

“Perfect start to 2022”

Next to a selfie photo on Swanage Pier, Tess Daly wrote:

“A little family trip to the beach was the perfect start to 2022 ✨ although the wind had other ideas about my hair 😂”

Walk along the beach at Studland

As well as a visit to Swanage, the popular couple, along with their two daughters, also went for a walk along the beach at Studland, posing at Middle Beach for photos.

Exploring the history of the area, Vernon also took a snap of himself at Fort Henry – the Grade II listed World War Two observation bunker which was built in 1943 to defend Studland from possible German invasion.

“Wrapped up warm (again!), this time a beach stroll down in Dorset. Stunning scenes on the beach.

“Studland Bay was used as part of the rehearsal for D-Day. Fort Henry was a lookout over the bay. You can tell I have a fave hat and jacket combo!!”
