Continued rise in coronavirus cases in Dorset Council area

The latest UK Government figures show that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Dorset Council area has now jumped by nine to 45.

Data as of Monday 30th March 2020, has confirmed that there are now 39 cases in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council area.

Confirmed number of cases

This means that the total number for Dorset now stands at 84. These figures are the confirmed number of cases from those who have been tested. Not all those with symptoms are currently being tested, so the number of actual cases is higher.

Staff in hospitals in Dorchester, Poole and Bournemouth are now working tirelessly to deal with increased admission numbers of people displaying coronavirus symptoms.
