“How badly has your business been affected?” asks Visit Dorset

Swanage businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector are being asked to say how much the coronavirus pandemic has been impacting them.

Visit Dorset, part of Dorset Council, is gathering data from across the county that will be collated and used to lobby central government.

It’s been asked to urgently feed back the information to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee on the immediate impact of Covid-19 on Dorset’s tourism industry.

Lack of visitors to Swanage

To get the data, all restaurants, pubs, hotels, guest houses, tourist attractions and anyone else affected by the lack of visitors to Swanage, are being asked to fill in a short online survey.

Visit Dorset said:

“This is an opportunity to ensure key data is captured and fed up to government level. The more responses received, the more robustly Visit Dorset can develop its recovery plan to help your Dorset business.”

If your business has been affected, you have until Wednesday, 29th April 2020 to fill out the survey.
