Please look out for stolen dog asks Dorset Police

A cocker spaniel has been stolen from her home near Shaftesbury and the police are appealing for people across the county to inform them if they see a dog matching her description or have any further information.

The 10-month old female chocolate cocker spaniel was stolen from her home in Mampitts Lane near Shaftesbury between 7.30 pm on Thursday 30th April 2020 and 8 am on Friday 1st May 2020.

Taken from her kennel

The dog, who is micro-chipped, was taken from her kennel at the rear of her home address.

Police Constable Nicholas Hunter, of North Dorset Police, said:

“The dog’s owners have understandably been upset by this incident and we are determined to carry out all lines of enquiry to try and locate their dog and those responsible for this offence.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night in question or who comes across a dog matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.”
