Public Health Dorset and Dorset Council to give live briefing for residents on Covid

With coronavirus cases on the increase in Swanage and across Dorset, Sam Crowe, Director of Public Health Dorset and Matt Prosser, Chief Executive of Dorset Council will host a live briefing this week on their plans to continue to tackle the pandemic.

Residents are being encouraged to submit questions in advance of the online event, and then listen in to the live broadcast, which will start at 5 pm on Thursday 22nd October 2020.

Latest number and rate of COVID-19 cases

Sam Crowe will give a briefing on the latest number and rate of COVID-19 cases in Dorset, and the arrangements in place to reduce the spread of the virus.

Matt Prosser will give details of how schools, care homes and council services are responding to the situation and planning for the coming weeks.

Submit questions about coronavirus

Anyone who wishes to submit their questions about coronavirus and the local response should email comms@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk before the end of Wednesday 21st October 2020.

The live briefing will be broadcast via Microsoft Teams. Viewers should download the Microsoft Teams app to their device in advance and use this link to access the broadcast.

The briefing will also be recorded and available via the Dorset council YouTube channel afterwards.
