Police officers and the air ambulance were all called to help after a child was injured in an incident involving a dog in a pub garden in Swanage in Dorset.
The police were called just after 5.15 pm on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 to the Crows Nest Inn in Ulwell Road.

Three police vehicles on blue lights, including one that was believed to include armed response officers, drove into Swanage, along with an ambulance.
The Dorset and Somerset air ambulance landed in nearby Day’s Park at around 6 pm and the paramedics rushed to give medical treatment to the child.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
“Dorset Police received a report at 5.16 pm on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 that a child had sustained injuries following an incident involving a dog in the garden of the Crow’s Nest pub in Ulwell Road in Swanage.
“Officers have attended and the child is being treated by the ambulance service. We do not have an update on their condition at this time.
“Enquiries are being conducted in the area to establish the circumstances of what happened and identify those involved.”
It’s understood that the man and woman with the dog, left the pub before the police arrived.
The air ambulance took off from Day’s Park at around 7.20 pm heading back to its base at Henstridge Airfield, just north of Sturminster Newton in Dorset.
