Drivers should watch out for partial closure of the High Street on Monday

A short section of the High Street in Swanage is to close to vehicles to allow road works to take place.

Heading out of Swanage, traffic won’t be able to travel along the High Street between Townsend Road and Priests Road for one day on Monday 2nd November 2020. This is roughly the section from the Spar Arkwrights shop, up to the British Legion.

Three water service repairs

The road closure is to allow Wessex Water to carry out three water service repairs.

All vehicles heading out of town will be diverted down Church Hill and Kings Road East. This may cause some issues with lorries, as the road is unsuitable for large vehicles. They are best advised to take the Kings Road East and Kings Road West route to get out of town.

While the road closure order is for five days, the work is expected to be completed in one day.
