Lucky escape after car crashes into ditch near Wool

Three people were rescued from a vehicle by fire crews after their car came off the road at Burton Cross near Wool in Dorset.

The incident happened just after 1 pm on Sunday 9th May 2022.

“Two people from the car were helped to safety, and a third was cut free”

A spokesperson from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said:

“We were called to Burton Cross, Wool after a car came off the road and went down an embankment.

“Two crews attended, from Wareham and Poole; two people from the car were helped to safety, and a third was cut free. All three were left in the care of the ambulance service.”
