Rain clears in time for Swanage Carnival procession

Despite fears that wet and windy weather would put a damper on the Swanage Carnival procession, the earlier showers dried up to allow the parade to go ahead as planned.

The traditional carnival procession kicked off at around 3 pm on Sunday 30th July 2023, winding its way through the centre of Swanage in Dorset.

There were still some puddles but the afternoon fortunately stayed dry for the procession

Avoided the bad weather

While the parade of carnival floats and marching bands luckily avoided the bad weather, unfortunately the AeroSupaBatics Wingwalkers had to cancel its display over Swanage Bay planned to take place at 2.30 pm, due to the strong winds.

However there was still plenty to see!
