The opening nights of Swanage theatre’s flagship summer show, The Princess and the Pauper, have been delayed at the last minute because a member of the production team has tested positive for Covid.
Staff at The Mowlem were subsequently contacted by Test and Trace and are now having to self-isolate. Their absence has left the theatre with a shortage of staff.
In a statement The Mowlem said:
“This is an extremely difficult decision for both Swanage Rep Theatre Company and The Mowlem, but our top priority is the well-being of the customers, staff and production crew.”

“The Princess and The Pauper is a truly beautiful piece that we are all extremely proud of and cannot wait to share.”
The Princess and the Pauper musical was due to open tomorrow Tuesday 17th August 2021. But it will now not start until next Tuesday 24th August 2021. It runs until Saturday 28th August 2021.
