Wareham shop has £2,000 worth of cigarettes stolen

CCTV footage of a man and woman has been released by Dorset Police following a theft from a shop in Wareham.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm on Friday 4th March 2022 at One Stop in North Street.

A man stole a bag from behind the counter

Dorset Police say that a woman entered the shop and asked a shop worker for help at another end of the store.

As the shop worker was helping the woman, it is reported that a man entered the store and stole a bag from behind the counter containing a large quantity of cigarettes with a total value of around £2,000.

Officers attended and carried out enquiries in the area to locate the man, but he was not able to be found.

Two people I would like to identify

Police constable Stuart Wilson from Purbeck Police said:

“As part of my investigation I have obtained CCTV images of two people I would like to identify.

“I am appealing for anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.”
