Something a bit special

This year the judges were asked to give extra points to those whose trade didn’t naturally lend itself to festive displays and had thoughtfully gone to some trouble to create something a bit special and different.

Amazing lights and festive decorations

Anne Rothery from Swanage Chamber of Trade said:

“Every year, more and more people in Swanage are making the effort to decorate their businesses and create beautiful window displays with a greater degree of ingenuity.

“It was a very difficult job for our invited judges to choose the winners and this year we asked for extra consideration to be given to those who had a trickier task to make their businesses festive.

“With not everyone able to afford expensive treats at Christmas, it’s lovely that anyone can walk around Swanage for free and enjoy the amazing lights and festive decorations. We also appreciate all those who go to such effort to decorate their homes, bringing so much joy.

“I’m sure we speak on behalf of all Swanage businesses, when we send a big thank you to all our customers for their loyalty and support throughout 2023 and look forward to an even brighter 2024!”
