Secondary schools in Purbeck holding open evenings again

Open evenings for prospective parents and children to look round secondary schools in Purbeck, including The Swanage School, are happening again this autumn.

In 2020, with Covid restrictions still in force, most schools held virtual open evenings although some organised school tours for small groups.

But now in-person events are back for this year, to help parents and children choose the best school for them.

The closing date for applications for a secondary school place in Dorset is Sunday 31st October 2021.

The Swanage School

Open evening on Thursday 30th September 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

The Swanage School said:

“Don’t miss our Open Evening if you have a child in Year 5 or 6! This is a great opportunity to see the school, take part in activities, speak to pupils and staff and ask any questions. The headteacher will be speaking at 6 pm and 7 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!”

If parents can’t make that date, they are being invited to book a tour instead by contacting the school.
