Take a sneaky peek of Swanage Railway’s new Steam and Lights train

The first test runs are taking place of Swanage Railway’s breath-taking Steam and Lights train, before the public get to travel on it in the run up to Christmas.

The Steam and Lights spectacular officially starts from Saturday 5th December 2020 and trips will continue up to the New Year.

Captured people’s imagination

Most of the tickets sold out as soon as they went on sale back in October 2020, as the event captured people’s imagination.

This first glimpse of the steam train in all its technicolour glory was captured as it journeyed through Harmans Cross on the evening of Thursday 3rd December 2020.

All the stations from Swanage to Norden have been decorated. This photo is of Harmans Cross station, like you’ve never seen it before!
