Owners of dog that bit woman in Swanage have come forward

Following a media appeal, Dorset Police say that the owners of a dog involved in a bite incident in Swanage have contacted them.

The incident occurred at around 10.30 am on Tuesday 5th October 2021 on the Priest’s Way track near to Belle Vue Farm in Swanage.

It was reported that a woman aged in her 30s was bitten on the calf of her leg by a large dog, which was off the lead.

“No arrests have been made”

Dorset Police said:

“Following enquiries and a public appeal, the owners of the dog involved have come forward and are assisting with an investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made.”
