Drugs and offensive weapon seized by police in Swanage

Two people in Swanage in Dorset are under investigation by Purbeck Police following the discovery of illegal drugs at a property in the town.

The officers who seized the drugs also confiscated an extendable baton on the evening of Friday 14th July 2023.

“Two people will be dealt with”

Newly appointed police constable for Swanage, Luke Taylor reported:

“Swanage officers seized what is believed to be class A and class B drugs, as well as an extendable baton from an address in the town yesterday evening.

“Two people will be dealt with for the offence of drugs possession and the baton will be disposed of.”

The exact type of illegal drugs seized has yet to be confirmed, however Class A drugs, which are considered the most dangerous, could include cocaine, ecstasy or heroin, while Class B drugs could include codeine, ketamine or cannabis.
