Police investigate alleged assault on woman cyclist in Wareham

An image of a man that police wish to speak to has been issued following a report of a woman on her bike being hit round the head near Wareham Quay in Dorset.

Police are now appealing to the public for any information about the incident on Tuesday 25th July 2023 at approximately 2.30 pm.

Reported that the man hit her around the head

It was reported that a cyclist was riding near Wareham Quay when she was assaulted by a man. The police were told that the man hit her around the head. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.

Police constable Stuart Wilson, of Wareham police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I have obtained an image of a man I would like to speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please come forward.”
