Man arrested after incidents outside school in Swanage

Police officers investigating the alleged assault on a woman and later on a boy in Swanage are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Both incidents occurred on Monday 26th June 2023 outside St Mark’s CE Primary School in the High Street.

Alleged assaults on a woman and a boy

The first reported assault on a woman took place at around 8.15 am, with a further incident where a boy was allegedly assaulted at around 3 pm.

No one sustained any injuries during the incidents.

A 43 year old man from Swanage has been arrested on suspicion of assault. The arrested man is known to both victims.

Police constable Mia-Isabella Bowditch, of Dorset Police, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident to please get in touch as you may have information to help my investigation.”
