Man banned from Swanage in connection with shoplifting

Purbeck Police have questioned a man from Bournemouth following a number of shoplifting incidents that were reported to the police by Swanage shopkeepers.

The man in his 40s was served with an order on Thursday 27th July 2023, preventing him visiting Swanage in Dorset for the next six months.

Interviewed in relation to five shoplifting offences

Purbeck Police reported:

“A male in his 40s from Bournemouth has been interviewed in relation to five shoplifting offences that occurred in recent weeks in Swanage.

“This male has been given a Community Protection Warning ordering him not to enter Swanage for six months.

“Enquiries are still ongoing.”

If the man breaks the order and visits Swanage, he risks arrest by police.
